Family ties are ‘forever’ – so long-lasting that they reach from beyond the grave to affect the living. They are so powerful that they can be present even when an individual has no contact or has never known his or her family. These ‘ties’ can have a profound effect on his or her life.

These ties are rooted in love. When love is healthy, the children of the family feel the freedom to be themselves. When the love is distorted, then children suffer, often because of the mistaken belief, “If I suffer then the people I love will suffer less.” Of course, this belief is not true.

In fact, this belief has terrible consequences that carry over from one generation to the next. Constellation healing frees the individual of burdens that are not rightfully his, but which he has assumed for the family.

Frequently, difficulties in the present generation are the result of unresolved issues from earlier generations. By healing these entanglements with the past, the members of the family can heal into ‘who they truly are’ and still feel that they belong and are supported by the family.
